![]() You are simple villagers- peddlers, farmers, blacksmiths, and merchants who live their day to day in the shadow of these legendary figures. However, it's also where all of you live. The town of Freeport is the crossroads of a dozen cultures and on the precipice of the wild frontiers of the Renalt Empire. Their discussion boards don't even mention it, and of course, though I approve of what they do, they're appallingly light on documentation. This is a 5e Dungeons and Dragons sandbox game with homebrew elements.Įach game grows not only the player characters but also the town itself.Īs players engage in the game the town expands, more reoccurring NPCs visit, and players gain access to unique and wonderful items. I am now happily taking suggestions, including anyone who can explain what the TavernKeeper problem is. I don't mind using the honor system if I have to (I'm thinking of drawing, and scanning, Fate Deck cards as part of a hand he holds, to get control over the rolls that way), but a sort of mutually non-gameable independent die roller would be handy if one exists out there. OH! And if I go the Google Docs route, I'd also like to know of any reasonably secure randomizers that would work with Fate dice. Convenient email updates are definitely my main concern. So I'm thinking of setting up a couple of shared Google Docs (one for campaign info, one for actual play, one for OOC discussion), but I don't know if that will alert anyone when there's been an update. On the other hand, just sending a bunch of emails back and forth via a system like Gmail seems doomed to also create an extremely long and unwieldy thread where OOC conversation would overlap with gameplay, and where looking a thing up might take ages of scrolling back. ![]() If it's the latter, it won't work for my purposes. ![]() I don't know if RPOL or Gamersplane do that, or if you have to keep checking the site personally to see what's up. If I can't get past this problem, I'd still like to game by post, but I want something that delivers email alerts when someone moves. (My only menu options are "none" and "other," and "other" is what's giving me the problem, apparently.) I'm trying to set up an RPG with a distant friend via TavernKeeper, but it keeps telling him, "your GM hasn't selected a game system".but when I log in, it won't LET me select a game system.
